Win XP don't have blue screens. If you see something else than normal in XP then you're probably better to format and reinstall... [/b]

Yes it does, I've seen several, it's just that they come up only whe nthere is something serious instead of just a small problem, as it used to come up. Last time this happened I unplugged my hard drive, took it round a friend's, copied all my crap onto his system, fixed it, and then got all my stuff back from my friend. [/quote]

Which is exactly what I was saying.

Just post here what is exactly written on this blue screen. We will see what we can do.
Did You install new software or hardware recently? Does the screen reappear after restart? In what circumstances it has appeared?

BSOD are annoying I had a bunch for the last 3 months, sometimes my comp would freeze on me, other times it would reboot, then the blue screen on top of all of that, annoyed the heck out of me, I think the cause was actually a controller I had been using and it conflicted with something, like my anti virus, but glad that they are gone now.

HEY!!! wow... I ACTUALLY KNOW HOW TO SOLVE THIS ONE FOR YA!!!!!

Every now and again i get bored and play with the different programs for removing bugs. Yeah, did i mention i was bored?

BUT ANYWAY!!! I KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO!!!!

You will need a copy of hijackthis.exe
HijackThis comes with an added feature which allows you to specify a file to be deleted at startup.
(Intended for use against those REALLY nasty bugs, such as you appear to have)
Run the .exe file and it brings up HijackThis, go into Misc. Tools. Under System Tools click "Delete a file on reboot". Find your file and reboot. BAM!!! File nuked.

Hope this solves your problem. In any case, please write back whether or not it helped for my own reference. k: [/b]

Isn't Hijack this for removing SpyWare and the likes. I don't think a faulty driver could be fixed with this!?

@NrmMyth
You could try to disable the driver through the Recovery Console: Here's a little help on this.
Microsoft official info.
You need an installation disc of XP to enter the RC.
