Default Two old games

Ohh look, a shiny new forum :O

Ok, so I have two old games which I played about ten years ago, and I'd like it if you people could give me some pointers to them.

The first was an overhead RPG in the style of the old Ultimas, with very simple 2D graphics. The game began with you choosing between a pair of green geenies, a male or female, and then making a party consisting of anything from vampires to giants. Afterwards, I believe you had the choice of multiple campaigns but I remember the latter ones were excruciatingly difficult so I assume you had to finish the earlier ones and import your party to the next?

The second is also an overhead game, but more of an action one. You controlled some "Doctor", who had a green shirt, blue pants, a bald head and a giant, red hammer. The game began with a world map where you could pick an area and then do all the levels in that area, which you selected from a hublike map. The graphics were very simple, 3D-style cartoonish, and I remember that maps included stuff like running away from a bunch of natives and leaving bombs behind, etc.

Either of those ring any bells?

It would be nice to know when and on what system did you play them.

Windows XP or 98, I can't recall, but doubt that matters too much. They were prolly shareware games from the internet's youth. <.<
