Default Point & Click Educational Game

Ok here is a quest and a half...

When I was at school in the early to mid 90's we had a state of the art computer and a few demo's of games on it. All I can remember from the computer itself was that the writing program had a icon of a quill in a pot of ink (or just quill) so now someone may know the system.

The game:

You start of on a dig site as an archaeologist. You choose squares to dig from until you find an old object. You are then sent back to the decade that the item was from at which point it becomes a 3rd person point and click. You go through the game going to the time zones from finding these items and having to find them in the past. The graphics where monkey islandish in style and graphic style.

I have been looking for this game since I left high school. I would kill to know its name again.

Hope someone can help
