If the problem persists after redownloading the archive and downloading the latest version of the right unarchiver, than you might have a virus which makes corrupt every type of archive (even self-extractor ones). In that case try downloading BitDefender 9 Pro trial or Kaspersky trial. k:

Get Total Commander. It's a very good file manager - I use it most of the time, in fact - and it has a number of internal unpackers (including RAR/ZIP), as well as a built-in ZIP packer, FTP client, multi-renaming tool and a host of other gizmos I haven't got around to using yet.
And it works on any Windows, from 9x upwards.
