I think this question should rather go to the Multiplayer sub-forum.

I know that you can play Age of Empires 1&2 online using a modem, and probably most of the RTS games.

Any of the Combat Mission Games - they're turn-based, so it doesn't matter that you're on a slow connection, and you can also play them by PBEM.

Deus Ex ( what are your computer specs ) it is really good two teams with about 6 people on a dial up 56k modem. Great, Nsf or Unatco mainly.

Quake 3 I am playing the demo version though

I wonder if i could play a mega drive ( genesis ) game on line just thinking, never will though.

I am using a pentium 4 2. something gighertz cpu with gforce fx 5200 graphics card and Windows XP os and 512 ram. With a 56k modem.

Also yes you can play mega drive games over the internet. But it is not all that good.

Bwt, That would be funny as heck to play Counter Strike on dial up connection. I sure the people on there would eventually ban me for being so slow.

My specs Dell 3100, 512 ram, 80 gb hd, Intel gma 900, Intel p4 pro ht tech 2.80ghz. Win Xp.

I want to upgrade with pci card, it only takes pci or pci express x1 ( not ever pci express X16 ).

But i heartd that the computer cannot get a better graphics card because of vga probs, any one know of some one who sucessfully install one ?
