Here's my version of a vampire's garden. Btw, I'm not an artist...only dabble with pictures for my stories. Bit hampered by using PSP as its a photo editor and paint strokes are pixelated and messy. But it took ages to learn so reluctant to attempt using other software. The number of times I've tried to get the bg colour pallet to work in Paintshop, but nothing happens. :tai:

I did a lot of art work on that piece - spent months on it adding new elements and refining parts messed up by scanning. But because some of it is the work of another artist, I felt it was only fair I pointed out what is her work and what is mine. I notice that others have used photos or elements they haven't done themselves. I think it's interesting to see how work can be added to and changed with new styles/contributions. There are no rules here, that I know of, against submitting collaborations.

I agree. Many o the entries we have for this competitions are either modifications or take elements from other pics , and no one has complained about that until today. So I think Wendy's entry is right. By the way, good work.
Pd: Quinto is no longer a judge, but a participant...

of course you have done realy nice job on remake of the pic=) and yeah other ones used other elements too but.. i think this one is bit too little modified for a competition entry.. its just like "remake" of some photo.
-but another thing is that this was also wendymarees idea so, i guess its could be ok..but once again, the realisation was made by another girl so..=/ i dunno. just wanted to tell my opinion.

I'm happy to exempt myself from the voting process. I mostly wanted to see what others might make of the vampire garden concept for the March comp and share what I'd done with the picture.
But the thing I am concerned about is the continual harrassment from Himmler. From the outset he hasn't behaved in a mature, decent way towards me, and if he gives any more grief, I'm making an official complaint. |

No, he means to cause trouble. He finds something to heckle about every time I post a picture. One of his comments from the Jan. comp was that the picture I uploaded 'hurt his eyes'. This is hardly constructive. He also made some nasty personal comments. Saying earlier, in this thread, that he was going to vote for the most kitsche entry could easily have put someone off entering. No one wants their work to be publically trashed. In another thread he admitted he's done a fair amount of trolling. Ab should be a fun place for people to visit and share their work and know they'll be treated with respect.
If someone keeps violating that principle, they should be asked to leave. |

as i would of expect, alot of talk about blablabla and blueblueblue. you must learn to accept non-constructive critiques too, cause i DIDN'T wanna be your "teacher", but only to comment what was wrong in my oppinion. i don't care of the person that does it, only the work. I ...forgive...you. |
