Thanks for all your help. It is now running fine (though the audio is a bit rough).

I basically just uninstalled everything and started again from scratch. Will now enjoy the game.

I also changed to full screen with the following:

fullscreen=true
fulldouble=false
fullresolution=1024x768
windowresolution=1024x768
output=opengl

Default discworld 2....HELLLLPPPPPPP

please imagine I'm a complete noob at dosbox, although I'm not, i have iso files for discworld 2, can get the game to run but can't get found to work because dosbox can't write to files within an iso

Try to install game on C: beforehand.

Try using ScummVM instead of DOSBOX. It's so simple to use and worked instantly for me, sound and everything
