Default Internet Explorer Is Broken

A few days ago, I changed my internet security from Kaspersky to Avast. But doing that seems to have caused a lot of problems in IE, forcing me to use Firefox.

So now, when I use IE:

I can only view the top bit of AB forums

Reloaded Shoutbox is forever Initializing itself

I can't watch any YouTube stuff, cos the 'Play' button is missing

There are a few other things that I can't access either, which are more serious.

I've tried resetting IE options, disabling & re-enabling all addons, uninstalling & reinstalling IE8. Avast and AVG don't show any viruses.

I'm desperate. Does anyone know what could be wrong, or how I could fix things?

Yes, the problem is that you aren't using Mozilla Firefox.

You don't like IE - I get that.

Do you have anything helpful to say?

I'm with Russ on this, after you make to Firefox, you'll wonder why you didn't start with it earlier.

Frodo: First go to forum main page for it to register your login cookie. After that, manually enter http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/

I have already said in this thread that I am forced to use firefox, and I don't like it.

Thankyou for trying to help, Hoseman.
Doing what you say loads the AB forum, but not the Shoutbox. And it doesn't solve the problems for other sites that seem to be blocked now.
