:help: Well I have loaded dos box with the dfend and then set up DM and all I get is the dosbox that then stops!game don't start!what am I doing wrong!heck I just wanted to play a good game not screw with setting for a week...I would have downloaded "SimBoredComputerDude" if I wanted that.Any help out there on profiles ect?

OK...by visiting dosbox forum I found a clue that lead me to the error35 fix...when you get this code in the dos box command cursor type "DM2.Bat" that gets you to the main screen.

now my mouse wont work at the signpost screen.. I can hit enter and the game starts..my keyboard works..sorta..i'm using a usb mouse not my touchpad..do I need a mouse adapter or software config to make dobox understand my nefangled mouse?

And what does dosbox say why it doesn't run? Did you set up the folders correctly, are you using the correct file to start the game? It's "dm2.bat" you need to run.

have you tried recapturing your mouse (crtl-f10 i beleive)?
Daggerfall used to do that as well.

Probably someone has to write a review for it first. You could play the JAVA remake in the meantime, haven't tried it myself though:

I still have my original CD for the PC, which I bought because I the game was one of my favorites on my Atari ST. I installed Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 and DOS 6.22, I have the CD-ROM, mouse, and Sound Card all configured and working flawlessly. However, the screen redraws are really slow and the mouse refresh is VERY slow and jumpy. Does anyone here have experiance running old DOS games in Microsoft Virtual PC? I am running a true DOS environment in a virtual machine, and the virtual machine has very DOS friendly hardware, I just don't get why it is so sluggish.
