I download things on floppy's for kids later.
(i mean, maybe later my sister have kids)
(otherwise i start a DOS-Shop;For old Dosgames)
(or i open a DOS-sharing site!)

It is really cool if kids in 2050 play still DOSgames.

Also cell phones have games that were really simle in the begining, but are getting ever bigger (soon regular DOS games will be available on the cell phone).
You can already play dosgames on some cell phones

Oh, and quatroking, don't count on that floppy's will be known in 50 years
They're not on all of the computers made today.

abandonware will not die because people who are currently into abandonware and people who are getting into abandonware at the moment will spread the word about it now and in years to come. the reason i think that is because of nostalgia and curiosity

I think that abandonwares are not diying... just because they're not played by the 90% of all gamers, doesn't mean thay are dying... there's still some people who want to play those games and.... the abandons lists will allways renew.... in about 10 years (i think) DooM 3 will be an abandonware... and there will be a lot of people that still want to play that game......

It doesn't quite work that way. I'm not even sure Doom I is ABW right now...

I saw someone bought a realms of arkania trilogy for 31 € at e-bay
(just thought im crazy for giving 10€ )

i think lots of people are conservative (fearing new?/loving old?)

they give a lot to remember the feelings when they were young
because that was normally the best time in their lifes

next to it their will be still collectors who just collect computergames :Tom:

bye :bye: bye

the number of times i hear this..

Abandonware won't die.. there are so many people into the preserving of old games - that the scene will just trundle along.

To be honest it seems that this year the scene is getting stronger again.. with some fabulous sites appearing

and people like me are just being seen as the old men of abandonware now...
