See my results for antithetic Here
See what wikipedia has to say about it Here

Basically (in this form of verbal usage) it means the complete opposite of one or more things said before.

(Sorry i didn't let you reply to that yourself Himmler but i just had to do so... )

I like metal bands like Iron Maiden, Helloween, Therion, Manowar, Rhapsody, Fates Prophecy, Angra... I'm very ecletic about metal.

Also, I like game soundratracks, especifically from Ultima, Ys, Heroes of Might & Magic and Final Fantasy series. They are very special !!!!

I've got pretty diverse tastes in music. What I'm listening to depends often on my mood at the time.

1. Soundtracks. Lots (and I mean it) of movie/TV soundtracks, a bunch of Anime ones and also a ton og ones from computer/console games.

2. Heavy Metal. Iron Maiden and Manowar, mostly. Then also a bit of Power Metal (mainly Hammerfall), topped off with Death Metal/Viking Metal (Amon Amarth, Ensiferum, Thyrfing)

3. Gothic Metal & Rock. Inkubus Sukkubus, Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Xandria and some of Nightwish.

speaking of soundtracks and seeing your avatar/banner, the_fifth_horseman, i just can't skip the fact that the soundtracks from the ghost in the shell TV series must be among the best soundtracks i've heard. i like them even better than the movie ones, though those are beautiful too.
the fun thing about them are the influences. when you listen to 'where does this ocean go' and then to 'hyper-ballad' by bjork, it's easy to notice how remarkably similar the songs are. 'cyber bird' reminds me of 'battersea' by hooverphonic. so maybe the soundtracks were even a bit prophetic and showing me the way to the tastes i have now (when i discovered them, i would listen to metal/goth rock etc...)

do you like the old goth rock bands, such as bauhaus or the early the cure? i do.

Personally, I particularly like "Making of the Cyborg" from the first GITS anime. It's strange, but has a very epic feeling. GITS 2: Innocence has a number of tracks in the similar vein too.

Right now my "top" soundtrack is one from the original Bubblegum Crisis, with particular taste for "Devil and Angel's Kiss" and "Soldier of Roses" (to which, as it happens, I'm listening at the moment).

Sadly, I don't know too many bands at all. Didn't hear of those two before (which means that getting acquainted with them is going on my priority list right now )
