This used to boggle my mind when I was younger and it still does now I suppose. Why could you press cancel on the passport menu at the start of a windows login?

I never undersood it :w00t:

reminds me of Mafia,where there was a skip button that restarted the level...

They wanted the 'multiple profiles' but didn't really implement it If your PC is in a domain however, you won't get a network connection if you cancel...

Ahh yes,...I heard about the network connection thingy. I think it also works for the internet? Or am I mistaken...

Curiously, they implemented it in Windows ME yet you could still hit "cancel" and end up with some sort of default profile.

I think its more you can have personal accounts or the default one, and the default one is sorta like a public one, whereas you need passwords to see the specific user's file.
If you get my meaning.

that's why you can make it that all users have same profile in which case you don't get the annoying screen on your computer.

if you hit ok (even without a passwd) it will remember your dailup passwd.
if you hit cancel it won't
