Myself recently also got into good old nes music. I use DeliPlayer to listen and downloaded all zophar.net archive via uTorrent, so I'm enjoying now listening to tracks from Duck Tales, Castlevania and all other games I played. There are some cool tracks from nes games, so I am thinking to replay on guitar and record them.
