Street Fighter Cartoon
We all know and love Street Fighter 2, right?
No?! Shame on you! *HADOKEN!* Anyway, Im sure those of you who know Street Fighter probably remember the horrible movie, which is probably the worst video game based movie of all time. Thats not all. Like the title hints, there's also a friggin Saturday morning cartoon based on the escapades of our beloved fighters and villains (including characters from every incarnation of Street Fighter 2, some Alpha characters (minus Dan Hibiki ) and the cast of Final Fight). Its about a colonel Guile leading a crime fighting team to fight against the forces of evil. The team, of course, is known as "Street Fighters" and forces of evil are naturally the "Shandaloo". Now, If any of you have watched cartoons at that time, you pretty much now that most of the western stuff is utterly ridicilous and poorly animated. Not to mention that, altough its all about fighting and crushing the forces of evil, its always family/kid friendly. No words can describe how bad it its. It might be even worse than the movie. If you watch it alone, it might be worse and embarrassing. My best advice is to watch an episode with a friend or relative, Street Fighter fan or not, and then all the worst parts turn into ridicililously funny parts. Of course, Street Fighter fans (and probably Final Fight fans) get their kicks out of this. There's plenty of stuff on Youtube and there's also two DVD-sets for sale around the net. For collection of stupidity and some episodes, check out The Switchers Youtube account. http://www.youtube.com/profile_video...witcher&page=1 Also, notice that there's other video game based cartoon related stuff featuring Double Dragon, Mortal Kombat & Darkstalker. Enjoy or not, hopefully its at least educational. |

Imagine if someone tried to make a Street Fighter movie... taking place in feudal Japan around 17th century... then changed the appearance of the main characters to the point where they barely resemble the originals... then changed a bunch of important plot points... then claimed it could be considered a prequel to the Street Fighter video game.
Because that's what Uwe would do. :vomit: |

Call me Hadouken. Cuz I'm DOWN RIGHT FIERCE!!! HAHA! HELL YEAH! UP TOP!
So are you talking about the live action one with Raul Julia? I had to grab that on DVD a while back. It's just SO absurd. The entire plot revolves around making sure all the characters are in their game costumes by the end credits. There was a SF2 anime movie that wasn't that bad I remember... for an anime movie, anyway. Then they had that horrible SFA anime movie. (which had a short bit with Dan Hibiki) Why is it that every fighting game movie kinda lifts the plot from Enter the Dragon? Some asshole invites martial artists from all over to some island for a tournament, but little do we know of his EVIL INTENTIONS!! As far as I know the Tekken movie did that, as did the SF live action movie, SF2, and the SFA movie. Let me know if I missed any. Oh yeah! And we get to look forward to the new live action movie coming out next year, 'Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li' or something like that. I'm sure it'll be... a video game movie... |

The only good part in any gaming movie, cartoon, tv-series, comic or anything game-related-but-not-a-game, is Scorpion saying "Get over here!" in the Mortal Kombat movie.
Because it was Ed Boon saying it.

Aw, c'mon. What about when Toad got arrested for singing anti-Koopa songs in public?
... also, any reason why my post count doesn't seem to want to move past 118? |

Some 'spammy' subforums don't add +1 on the postcount, for obvious reasons.
Blah, blah, blah... and Competition / Games I thought.

On a semi-related note about Uwe Boll, they are going to make a game based on one of his movies. No, really.
