I could translate the site (including the reviews of course) into the greek language (not in one day :-p , but relatively quickly).
First of all, would you be interested in having such version of the site online?
Second, my programming skills are now all forgotten, and I was never any good at html, so, would I need much of those skills to perform the translation?

We are always interested in new translations

And you don't need any skills at all (except knowing your own language, and English) k:

Just finished reading all 12 pages of that thread.

There were two people Ajax and Black Sheep IIRC who mentioned that they would do the greek translation. Have they worked on it? I can easily do it myself if they haven't done anything on it but if they have like finished 300 reviews then...
I am not being cocky, I just have plenty of free time, unemployed and broke so I mostly spend my time in home (well, UK anyway).

If you give me the OK I can start as soon as Monday.
I do have some questions and comments first.

1)If I get the go ahead I will start translating the reviews first and when I reach the 150 mark I will do the site.
2)There are words that are used a lot in greek, like internet terms etc, do you want those translated too? Though there are greek words, I have found from personal experience that some times it is better to leave some of them in the native english or else the whole thing doesn't "feel" right. Just tell me what you want on the matter.
3)Shall I just start with one subject like Strategy, translate the text of the reviews and copy everything in one file? Font?

If I could get answers to the above plus perhaps a private message with any further necessary info, I could start on eh, yes Monday. :-)

Well I don't think those members started translating. You might send them a PM though. Maybe they'll join you in the translations team.

Well if you're serious about this and make enough reviews - sure, the Greek section would be opened up.

About translating some terms... Well you should know best if you should translate every word or if you should leave some of them in the original (English) language. IF everybody knows the word like download and the Greek equivalent of the word is almost never used - then it makes sense to use the English word (you're the current expert on Greek).

For #3 I'd say don't do a certain category. Try and translate a few games out of every category first (at least for the begining - makes a better impression then just to have one category (what about the people that don't like that game genre).

Just a few tips and warnings - there are some of us, who generally translate the reviews alone (it's not that easy).
Personaly I had some help from Rainwife (she did around 100 reviews), but I did over 400 myself - and trust me: It's more difficult then it looks.

So if you're really commited - I wish you all the best!
