Yeah, QFG uses more of a roleplaying aspect to the sierra games. It's too bad they didn't utilize the same system later on, oh well...

Don't know why, but I've always had the idea that the Kings Quest games and the Gabriel Knight games were the most popular of the Sierra collections.

Personally I think the GK games are the best games ever produced by any company - (no doubt someone will shoot me down in flames for saying that! )

I agree with you. I loved the KQ and GK series.

KQ5 and KQ6 (CD versions!) were 2 of my all time favs..I loved em and to have voices at that time was awesome.

GK was very good as well...even loved GK3 Beast within..shame that was right aobut the time the Adventure games began to die.

Also, Freddy Pharkas (which was just added to the site) was one of my favs..that game was hilarious..kinda like a Space Quest, without the space...

Which reminds me..I loved the Space Quest series as well =D

*cries* I miss the old Sierra.

I dunno, I have better memories of the ooolllllddd Sierra games, the 1sts, 2nds and 3rds in the series. SQ1, 2, 3, KQ1, 2, 3, 4, PQ1, 2, 3. I suppose it just that I remember those from my early childhood, so they hold more nostalgic value

Pq3 isn't that old.

My favorites are SQ5, KQ6 and GK1.

Not a big adventure fan myself but I do like the remake of Quest for Glory and Gabriel Knight 2. I tried several other adventures from Sierra but never got into it. Strategy games are my thing.

k: There just wasn't beating Sierra when these games were popular amongst everyone. They had the right idead. I'm just glad I found good website with these games to download. Talk about re-living some of my REALLY young years with these games!! I highly recommend The Kings Quest series and Space Quest. Leisure Suite Larry is awesome too Glad theres a way to skip those crappy questions, you'd have to be REALLY old...

i need help, in Qfg4 im a wizard and it comes up with a bug when i got to the Monks tombstone, any way to not make it happen?

and in qfg1 in the brigand mages room when i pull the lever i cant get in the door in time? any patches for the problems? non windows version maybe?
Ah, this QFG4 problem is common and dreaded, and it happens with any class. I think the best solution is to use DOSBox. It happens because your computer is too fast. Same as with the QFG1 problem.

With the D-Fend frontend for DOSBox, setting up games comes down to a simple, easy to use wizard menu. Use it. If you really want to play DOS games, it's the best solution.
