Dammit people what's happening here???A KID spams, and you all immediatly rush to punish him??We are all humans here, we can understand can't we??We can warn him, and he'll understand.It seems like you want to make an example of him.That's not right.We can talk to him, explain the matter, and he'll probably understand(even if he is 12).We are a community, and we should stick together.He has been a member of this site far longer than i have been, so he should deserve some respect.


Maybe by the time my post appears, his count will be reverted, and this won't make sense, but the issue still stands.
This post isn't meant to subminate your authority kosta; it is just my oppinion.

When I was 12 I was already attending political debates on IRC (real ones... not ones like "ur views sux")
He knew he was spamming
He knew that was against the rules

I don't want to be mean or anything... but its just a small slap on the wrist.
its not as if we are banning him.
they are just deleting a few of his posts... if he isn't serious about spamming to up his postcount he will not even care!

Yes you do have a point there i must admit, but say he hasn't read the rules.Maybe this is the first forum in wich he posted something serious.Thus he doesn't know the general rules of posting in a forum.And btw, humans learn from their mistakes=> he will never spam again(at least on this forum).

[EDIT] Yes i know, but i didn't like the way some of the older members of the site jumped at his throat for a mere spam situation.It wasn't even something important.It could have been settled by a discussion, that's all i'm saying.

To tell the truth, I was shocked at his treatment!

I mean, Danny has been around since october last year. He is member number EIGHT!! And he is suddenly considered as a spammer...

Think of me. I joined the forum late in april this year, and already I have posted over 10 % of the total number posts. If you think of Danny as a spammer, remember that he only did this one day... Whereas I post that number of replies almost every day!

If someone should loose their post count, it should be me.
Tell you what... You can remove my posts and give them to Danny.



But seeing that Kosta have decreased the penalty with 50 posts, I think everyone in this forum have learned a lesson:

Users have learned that spamming is not welcome on the site,
and the boss have learned that one must consider all sides before punishing forum users.

we have all seen how Danny was simply posting meaningless posts counting his postcount and saying he was spamming.

but when a punishment is set forth you defend him by saying he did not know that what he was doing was deemed wrong?!
I expect to hear this kind of babble at the UN, not here

I am not saying he didn't know what he was doing.
I am saying he had some fun. If you ask me, he was testing the limits. I think he would have quit as soon as someone up in the system had told him to.

Note that the warning from The picard was emmediately put into another forum, and that Kosta stumbled over this topic... thereby deleting the posts from Danny, before we got the chance to see if Danny would continue spamming.... My guess is; he wouldn't.


Alas, we will never know. :wink:

I belive it was the speed of things that got to me and Omuletzu. It was done so fast. From the warning by The picard, to the deletion by Kosta.

I am more at ease with the punishment now that I have had time to take it all in.

Let's hope this never happen again.
