Default Odd colouring problem with advance civilization

I have a rather od bug when I run advance civ in xp using win 95 compatability I get graphics that are pinkish and with very odd other colouring. I have tried with all some and none of the compatability options used but they all fail to fix the bug.

The game is xp compatable as many people have run it fine and I can run it in dosbox (at least it starts up fine).

I was just curious if anyone else has run into this problem and knows of a fix.

Save yourself a lot of trouble and use DOSBox.

In the same tab where you enable the Win95 compatibility, try enabling 256-colour mode. Not sure if it will help.

You could also try clicking disable visual themes in the compatability tab

As I stated in my original post I have tried it with some of the compatability options selected ie one or two and with ALL the compatability options. SO I have disabled visual themes and selected 256 colour option to no effect I have also used both together.

I am curious if anyone have ever had a graphic issue similar to this where windows 95 compatability created odd colouring and yet dosbox was perfect.

This regularly happens when you try running DOS games in an actual Windows 95 running on a real 1990's era PC.
Just save yourself the grief and run the thing in DOSBox...
