Default Help with DosBox

I've installed SimCity Classic and it seems to be running fine when I start it in Windows XP but it runs too fast, even at the slowest speed setting. I read that DosBox would be a solution to this problem but I can't get the .exe file to start in DosBox, I just get this error message "SimCity for Windows requires Microsoft Windows". What do I need to do to get SimCity Classic to run in Windows XP at a slower speed? Do I need a different version of SimCity Classic to run in DosBox?

If I can help to you try to get a copy of Sim City for pure DOS. I have one and it runs fine with dos box, but the video game Sim City that I downloaded from Abandonia, it´s for Windows, and the game makes a directory in my Windows XP main C: and it runs fine if I click the executable file.

Yes, I have sometimes games that for everyone runs and play well, but mine not runs in a propper way.

That would be lovely as an Extra for this game

I have a copy of SimCity V1.02 for DOS - it supports VGA graphics plus has the two graphics add on disks (Ancient and Future Graphics) included. If Abandonia wants, it let me know.
