Hi!

I'm looking for the title and info of an old game that I used to play. It was like an advanced concept of asteroids.

In the game you have two groups of space races in your group you can choose up to 5 races i think. Then you have to go planet by planet that you select from something like a 3d map of start. On each new planet you fight against an oponent from the other side. I remember that the races include one that have a big green ship that fires a bolt of energy and can launch fighters, the other was a rece of felins wich sacrifies their ships, you have the race with the flying saucer that fire a laser beam, the terrans where line an apollo capsule that fire laser and a weapon that looks like bubbles. The earthlings use a ship that looks like cosmos 2000 and fires nuclear missiles. That's all what I can remember. If you have any idea please let me know.

Hmmm, have you any idea as to how old a game it might be? When did you play it? EGA, CGA or VGA? Did you play it in 1987, thinking the graphics were already a bit outdated, or did you play it in 1993 and were amazed by the graphics?

Yep, sounds a lot like the original Star Control to me. And lucky you, you can download it right from this site.
