Hi, I don't know if this has been asked, but since I've noticed that eveyone of you people have very good talent in writing, please tell me this:

1. Do you have a favorite writer. (you can tell which of his/her books amaze you.)
2. Did this writer by any chance inspire you to write here in abandonia? (you know the short stories or etc.).

christopher paolini he wrote only one book so far eragon but i love it so much it is a great fantasy book and hopefully going to be a good series

Well, my favorite writer is Irvine Welsh. The book he amazed me about is "Filth", I'm currently reading "Ecstasy", great work. I undoubtly offer everyone to read his stuff, it's a masterpiece! k:

It will be Andrzej Sapkowski. He's the best polish fantasy writers. His Witcher Saga is the best books I've read

For me it is Ivan Efremov. He wrote quite some books, but two of his I like the best - "The Andromeda Mist" and "The Cut of a shave blade". His look on the world and his love for the beauty of the well build human body, especially the one of womans is close to my own conceptions / ideals.

If that smiley means what I think it means, you're wrong. I don't mean THAT love / sex, but an aesthetical love for the beauty.

My favourite writer is still Terry Pratchett. He has a very strange way of involving the reader. Especially his latest books ('Night Watch", 'Monsterous Regiment' and 'Going Postal') are very different from his first books. His first books involved characters tumbling from one situation into the other while his latest books the characters are trying to achieve a goal while the situation around them gradually changes.

I'd have to agree with Terry Pratchett. I also agree that the later books are the best as they actually have structure rather than just continuing onwards and then stopping (that's how I write ).
