Hi Guys,
I have always wondered how to label DVDs, CDs. When you buy empty DVDs, CDs in some products they have written inkjet printable. You can't possibly put the thing in the printer  . Are there any special sticky paper or something. Many burning programs have a labelling programs so simply how do you label DVDs and CDs. Help would be really appreciated. Thanks!!

find some OHP (Overhead Projector) pens, they can write on CDs. Use them a whole lot in this house. DVDs, CDs, CD installation codes..

You can buy special cd labelling kits.

This is sheets of paper that you can put through your printer and print out your cd cover, then peel it off and stick it to your cd. There is also a special applicator to help you get the label centered well on your cd.

Writing on it is labeling it, right? :bleh:

Now for the cd/dvd to have a digital label, all you gotta do is burn the label into it when you are putting stuff on it. But you probably knew that already

You don't see two sided cds everyday. Yes, you can label any cd with a visa-vis marker or a sharpie. You can even use a hightligher, but eventually the ink will run and it will look funny.

Actually, I wasn't talking about labeling with pens but with specpaper to stick on'em. example: on ACME and etc CD's.

Probably, they should stick to any cd surface.

But if you are trying to relabel a corporate cd I would be careful. This is probably as much of a warning as you are gonna get.

The paper I was talking about is specially designed for cds. You design it on you pc, print it out, then stick it on your cd. You don't use pens.

Philips has even developed a special system, were with special cd's/dvd's the label is burned on the top side of the cd/dvd. This is done by the cd/dvd burner itself at the end of the burn process...
