Well, you would be able to meet some other weapon traders later in the game anyway.
Also keep in mind that with the increasing level of the party members and with the overall better stuff your party members will wear you will also be able to buy better things by the Umpani and the Gorn traders. And not only them, but also all fixed, non-NPC traders in the game. Until some certain level, though.
