Default Free hosting company?

A friend of mine just asked me a simple question, but I was unable to help her.

She been appointed in charge of creating a small site for a small starting company, and she knows next to nothing on the matter. I was wondering if you guys would know a good place to start out, some kind of newbie friendly (and free) host where she could start and learn until she's good enough to continue on by herself.

Any kind of help would be much appreciated.

there is a nice list of free web hosts

http://www.free-webhosts.com/webhosting-01.php

there is also a search bar, so you could search for ideal host fitting your needs, search for something banerless, with no bandwich limitation, there are plenty of those

i'd personally recommend X10Hosting.com, that one looks very nice

Let's see if she can make something out of it.

I once took a look and 110mb.com caught my attention, but this isn't really expert opinion.
