I never knew wendy's sold food, I thought they sold ice-cream and smoothies?

I've heard about that one where the kids broke into someone's house and got injured so they sued the owners. I've also heard of one here in australia about a guy who had stolen a car, was drink driving then crashed and sued the government because the road was too windy. I never heard of a result but if he got off the world is doomed, doomed I tells ye.

Well I know here in Antwerp there was a huge lawsuit when a jeweller (who has already been robbed four times in the past) shot a burglar. I don't remember if he killed the burglar or not but there was a really big lawsuit . I think in the end he (the jeweller) got off with a symbolic punishment.

thats cool. i hate it when you here about people going to prison for defending themselfs, makes me really angry. we had a guy in yarmouth get in trouble for stabing a man who broke into his house and was standing over his bed staring at his wife breathing heavily, rubbing himself with one hand, in his over hand was a baseball bat!

It's a myth that if you attack somebody in your house in Britian you go to prison, people have only gone to prison for that about 3 times in the last 15 years and they were all in very special circumstances, like one time, somebody dug a hole in their front garden and covered up the entrance with sticks and leaves, then when somebody fell in he poured petrol down the hole and set fire to it!

The one with the farmer was another case of excessive and unnecessary force, the burglar was completely unarmed and at the time he was shot the he was outside the house, about 2 metres away from the gate out onto the street and running for his life. Also, the shotgun that the farmer used to shoot him in the back was unlicensed.
