how could i get hooked up with ultima 5?
Also is there a second operating program, like exult for ultima 7
and nuvie for 6?

It's a French site, but most of the games are in English anyway.

I'm not aware of an emulation program for U5 that would actually work, but you can run it in DosBox, if that helps.

Ok, This might help you out a bit. I'm another person having trouble with this game. After hours of messing around with the settings, these seem to work the best for me on my 1.2 ghz machine.

CPU=Simple
Dos memory=16 MB
Render Method=Surface
Resolution=320x200
Scale=none
Frameskip=3
cycles=8000 <----- YES, 8000. This is all the game really needs. This will save your computer precious CPU power to use helping to emulate other things. Like sound.
Sample rate=11025
Turn off all sound emulation except soundblaster.
Turn off joystick support.
XMS=on
EMS=off

Granted, unless you have 2gh plus this won't get the game running anything close to smooth, but the game IS playable like this.

Th emusic doesnt work for me. :angry: i mean the sound works and even when i turn music on it doesnt work :ranting:

Set the music options to general midi, like Roland SC or Roland RAP-10 then it should work when in Dosbox
