Here is my new song. Maybe it doesn't sound great in midi, but I hope, that when I with my friends shall record it in mp3, the song shall sound nice. We just need words for this composition, but I hope, that man, who is working on it, soon will create something. And we haven't decided who will sing yet, but I think, that it will be Bastin. Bastin also will play on drums, LaWey (Smorchkoff) will play on bass and I on other (acoustic guitar and bayan).

Wow that rhythm sounds great! k: I think it sounds pretty good for a midi file. Some parts of this song can be cut out because they're repeating over and over, but other parts are really good! Keep up the good work. k:

(btw: I recommend you to try fl studio. Sounds much better than midi)

I'm using Fruity Loops too, but I don't upload my mp3s here, because I connect to Internet by modem, so it isn't good idea to upload 3-10 Mb files with a speed 33,6 (4kb/sec). And about repeating parts of my midi - that's a song, so those parts are verses. 3 verses and 3 choruses.

that's very nice! as koen stated, it has got a very interesting rhythm. i have no
experience in creating songs in midi format, but i think you have done a respectable
job. when i close my eyes while listening to this track, i can imagine that it would
be very suitable for a jump and run game, while the credits or the high score is
being displayed.

thumbs up, nick!! k:

Yeah, that's a good point. But I'm afraid this midi won't fit to be a 'title' or 'credits' music. Just yesterday I wrote a melody in FL. I wanted it to be a theme for the level of some game, but when I wrote it, it didn't sound like I wanted it to sound. I wanted to make it fantasy like, but I haven't reach this much. It looks like, that every composer has his only special style. For example, when I hear dance music, that created by someone, I think: "Let's try to make something dance too." But when I get to work, despite on my tryings, I receive something trance-liked. So, some people can make fantasy melodies, some can make dance, and it looks like I can make someting, but only not fantsy or dance. Maybe I wrong.

maybe you should look more flexible at this materia.
if you want to create dance music, and you end up with something trancy, who
says that this couldn't also be dance music, as well?

and fantasy tracks....there's a wide range of tracks which are considered to be
fantasy, yet they all sound quite different.

i think as long as there's no strict definition for styles, and i doubt there will ever
be, we are free to produce things in accordance to our taste and label the style
like we feel being suitable...

art can hardly be put into definition schemes and that's a big plus...
only narrow-minded ppl dare to think too straight, but other than those, there're
many who are flexible in interpreting stuff freely, you know?

Well, maybe you right. But, anyway, I think, that every musician have his bit of something, that other cannot reproduct.

Here's another MIDI, I wrote two days ago. It may be a bit monotone, but I like it.

It's a very good song, I've always liked the sound of midi. I'd like to hear more.

EDIT I just heard your other two songs. The first one Kamen wasn't too bad but it wasn't great, the second was excellent. Keep it up. k:
