Yeah, I do have the project to try playing Conquest of the New World on the new version... Once I dig up my copy from my moving boxes. <_<

I happen to have little use of DOSBox lately. The only game I play for long stretches of time since a few months is Dwarf Fortress.

I really really would like to see "edit" command featured in dosbox

edit is more like a program, they would probably need to ask for licension

Yes, indeed, or they could make a simple text editing program to it. That would be nice.

You can always install Norton Commander or a clone of it, since they contain text editors.

Or simply copy EDIT from MSDos.
Works in dosbox
Also does QBasic.
And plenty others (think freeware doseditors, zillions of those).
