Default Monitor problem

Hi I'm having a problem running Lords of the Realm II. From time to time, all of a sudden, the resolution stretches out so all people become fat and the text is elongated. I cannot reverse this except by resetting the computer. Though I have nothing against the anatomical particularities that this issue has brought, I'd like to see if anyone has a suggestion.

As usual, questions but no info whatsoever .....

If I remember swell, there is a dos and a win version of LoR2, try the dosversion in dosbox?

Might be an issue with the ATI graphics card. If you have one, try an older GForce graphics card, like for example GForce 4 440MX (32MB), I had no problems with that card, when I had it earlier.

Maybe your using a widescreen monitor?

If nothing works, just bang your monitor until it returns to normal.
