I have some River Raid archive for long time now. I was delighted to see that there is River Raid for DOS but after starting the game I saw that it was entirely made by one person. So I don't think that is official version, more like remake. It seems that game is in Polish, so you can take a look if you want...

It's PCjr, and I have a cartridge file. But the DOSBox support for PCjr cartridges is still limited, and I think I have tested River Raid negative already.

Made it into the game. Doesn't look good, though.

Uploaded Carol Shaws River Raid.

You have play with joystick, otherwise you'll only get a black screen. If it's to fast, try it with around 500 cycles.

machine=pcjr
Boot command in DOSBox is >boot [cartridge file]

Didn't find a way to stop the juddering. Let's hope there's improvement in the next DOSBox release.

Moving thread to Needing Reviews.

It still looks unplayable, although DOSBox guys says it is supported.

Going down with cycles (below 1750) made the game unplayable, as the controls are constantly steering left, without need to press the button - there is no way to go right (only straight if I keep the right button pressed)! On standard speed I cannot control the plane comfortably...
