Try:Age of Wonders 1-2 or Shadow magic(Mom/hereos/warlords clone)
or Disciplies 2(nice game and it is nearest to HOMAN concept than others.If you liked 1,you like 2) or Warlords 3(classic....) or Battle of Wesnoth(see above) or Etherlords 1(Five times better game than its sequel) |

Go Age of Wonders, it's the best one out, and do not buy the newest Heroes of Might & Magic, it's a pile of stink.

Played AoW, it rocks... also played Homm 4, which was good, but only for a week...
Disciples good game, but somehow just not as good as heroes 3 |
