Nah I like adventure games, but adventure games that are classified as horrors or thrillers are great (5 Days A Stranger, 7 Days A Skeptic). If anyone knows of any, I'd appreciate if you would share the names of the games.

I think there are about 3 people in the game that actually die
but only one of them is kinda important

actually, come to think of it, a LOT of people died, important people.
But you never meet them before they die

7th Guest and it's follower 11th Hour. They're cool, but there're no people in them, just movies that are triggered when you reach some point in the game. So you can call it more a puzzle-game.
But horror there is guaranteed. I recommend them all the time.

the original Phantasmagoria had *quite* a few murders in them... all very graphic.

One woman beaten and stabbed to death with a shover
another woman stabbed to death with a broken bottle
another woman locked up and starved to death
and an unfortunate telephone repairman who was just at the wrong place at the wrong time
