Around which year did you play it? Got any idea what the graphical quality was? (CGA? EGA? VGA?) That would narrow it down too, as there're almost no RPGs that don't match your description, especially the either medieval or space suit part. That kinda sums up each and every RPG, except a few

Actually, the description he has given fits about 50% of all games ever made, not only RPGs... need more details!

i used to play it around 8-10 years ago.... i was like 5 so i dont really rember it that well... but i used to play it for hours cuz i loved it. its kinda similar to Pokemon on gameboy, where u c ur character from above and then you walk around. the items on the floor u cant really c, but u c a rought outline of sort. you hav to walk up to it and it then tells you what you what u hav found. (like in pokemon, all item look the same. you hav to go up to it and select it so c what you got) :help:

Spelunker: Go down in the mines, collect gold and yellow lamps. Light lamps to get rid of approaching ghosts. Does this ring any bell?

its not ascii.... God of thunder seems very similar to wut im talking about... those type of graphics and game play.... many differenrt colors, not all in one tone/black and white

Top-down, Zelda-like game from mid-90s, which was either fantasy or space and featured golden rings... narrows it down quite a bit. Let's see which games're like God of Thunder.
