AFAIK, there was something even older. "Moon landing". It was for all those huge blocks of metal programmed with perforated cards. Computer gave you the parameters of flight and you had to input right trajectory. Objective was to (what else) land on the moon.

if you ike trying to emulate a 50 year old game, go try. probably dosen't even exist anymore. and we have trouble running games from 3 years ago on my pc sometimes..

You can't emulate these games, even because there isn't a specific platform to emulate.

LOL! PC's??? All I know is that tennis for two ran on an oscilloscope.... do you know how to emulate an oscilloscope???

the difference here is that tennis for two is the first 'electronic game' but spacewar was the first COMPUTER game. the tennis for two being analogue, spacewar being digital.

simulating analogue systems = very cpu intensive. mame team estimates for fully simulating a late 70's analogue arcade game might require a 20 ghz cpu.

Certainly. Tic-Tac-Toe you can play with pen&paper, but here are SpaceWar and Pong.
