With Dosbox, I'm just not clear on something- Do I have to "mount" the drives every time I run dosbox or is there a way to set it up so it recognizes what I've already mounted in the past?
Here's some info if it is needed: Windows XP, playing Kings Quest 6 (which I got to run fine once). I think the .exe for it is on the cd so I mounted a C: and a D: (not sure if I'm doing that right but it worked...). Thanks very much! |

In DOSBox's config file there is a section for lines you want DOSBox to run at the start, mine says "mount C C:\oldgames" "C:"

No problem...
Open the DosBOX.conf file in notepad and scroll all the way to the bottom. Everything you write there will be loaded when DosBOX is loaded. As an example, this is what I have in mine... Code:
[autoexec] # Lines in this section will be run at startup. mount c l:\dosgames mount d d:\ -t cdrom c: cls Edit: Sorry mate, you must have posted while I wrote... |
