Default The Independents

Could someone post a list of (good) indie developers (and the games if possible). I would like adventure, RPG and strategy titles, the more elaborate ones please, not web minigames. Mainstream ones are disappointing me quite a lot recently.

Thanks.

I've recently been playing Mount & Blade rather a lot, and it's a really fun open-world RPG sort of thing.

It's difficult to describe it really, so I'd suggest getting the demo (or perhaps trying the demo for the more recent games, M&B: Warband and M&B: Fire and Sword).

If you like the demo, you can buy a serial code to unlock the full game and keep your character.

M&B is fun. I was looking for places to keep track of good indie games. They don't seem to get much attention from main media, so I am finding them hard to find.

If strategy is your poison, try this game: http://teardown.se/alienassault.html. Admittedly, the graphics aren't its' forte.

I'd recommend the following:

Show me the Games - Run by the guy behind Gratuitous Space Battles it's a rather nice portal that shows off various indie games.

Rampant Games is a seller of many indie games, mostly RPGs.

and finally,

Rock, Paper, Shotgun - UK PC Gaming blog, and they cover quite a few indie games, generally in good detail.
