Well, are you guys running it in DOSBox?
Because I run it there and never had any problems...

I am at the church and the priest won't let me in. At the first try I missed the lizzard talk, and now - even after re-loading a saved game before that point - this possibility doesn't show up again. How do I get past the priest? Should I try something else first?

Other than that, nice game, and it runs smoothly on my computer (only one crash so far - at the church scene)

You will need to make a few things first in order to take the priest out of the church... Not wanting to be a spoiler, I however dare to say that you need to play a prank on Phillip in order to be successful...

I got on in the game, and think I got quite far, even making it through the horrible maze (thanks to Frodo), but now? I talked to the guy at the cemetary, got some bugs in a glass and seem to be stuck at the lighthouse. Whenever I want to enter it says: "I think it's too late for a visit"

Should I play this part at broad daylight or did I miss something again?

You may have missed a few things that you need to do before dealing with the lighthouse.
Have you been into the observatory yet?

It wasn't the observatory I missed, it was the bell in the church tower (duh!) :blink:

After I had found that out, the rest was not too difficult although near the end I got kicked quite often at the scene with the photographer. Anyway, despite all this, I was able to finish the game and sure had a lot of fun.
