Post Windows Vista - Won't support 'fullscreen'? Help!

I've tried downloading a few old games - King's Quest and Death Gate. They unzipped fine, and when I went to install them, I got an error message "This system does not support full screen mode."

How can I fix this so I can play my games?

The sigh wasn't really directed at you. But we do get this kind of question pretty often now, and it ought to be even more often in the future.

First, please read this.

DOSBox is a program which simulate a DOS platform within Windows. With it, you will be able to play any DOS game just as if you actually had DOS installed on your system.

You will no doubt have other questions, but I'll wait for you to specificaly voice them before givign you too much to absorb in one go.

Personaly, I am sure we would not even need to link either a tutorial or even DOSBox main site if people would simply read the readme included with the program...

Let's wait to see if this user really need help with DOSBox first before jumping to conclusions anyways.

Edit: I've just spotted a new thread in the troubleshooting archive I didn't see before. You can see it here.
