Cool

I didn’t know if you guys knew this but I thought I would tell you there was an XP edition of Full Throttle, The Dig, and Grim Fandango released in Europe some time ago and they work great. You of course can’t get them in the US unless you find them on eBay and Amazon but if you are a classic LucasArts fan like I am they are a great find, and they work perfect so you don’t have to worry about emulating them any longer.

Never heard of this before...where did you get the info?

Of course Grim already runs well on an XP system and you really don't need any new versions of dig or full what with ScummVM being so great....

Yeah, they bundled together a whole heap of their classic cames and ported them for use today.

Some of them were released seperately too - I managed to pick up Monkey Island 3 that way, and Indiana Jones. Stupid thing was, when I got home and booted up Indiana J it turned out to be The Stupid Yukky Infernal Machine, and not my beloved adventure games of old.

Hmpf....

I've seen some of this games here in Spain (Full Throttle, The Dig and Monkey Island 3, I think). But they are too expensive IMO. Full Throttle costs about 20€, if I remember correctly, and is about ten years old. Now you can find games from 2003 and 2004 for about 6 or 9€ in the bargain bin.

Oh, but you shouldn't compare classic games and new games, the new ones aren't more worth but the old ones are

Mmmm, yes. But having in mind that I've played all those games, and finished many of them, it seems a rather high price for a replaying experience. Not saying that people that haven't tried them shouldn't consider them worth.

Yep. It came out in NZ. I'm not quite sure about Aus. I'll definatley get Grim Fandango and Sam and Maxthough if it is (i don't have it legally). Apparently, it is widely sold at JB-HiFi.

@faralar: Do you really think GF runs well on XP? Ever tried it? It is a huge pain in the behind.
