Eurosong is an awful competition, and it's seems ethno is very popular there,
from what I've seen lasty (Ruslana, and Serbian - Lane Moje), so many other countries inlcuding mine - Croatia, had a winner with these ethno elements... Our singer this year is however an improvement over the last few years... Also how were the finalists determined (those from semi - final), was it televoting or...

The winner of The Euroholocaust Song (after watching that contest I had to spend a lot of time reading book and using google to make sure that it wasn't breast contest or something like that) Contest is decided by the size of his/hers breast implants (min. D-cup) and clothing, or the lack of it.

I used to liked the contest a bit. I never liked the parts where some countries almost always give the highest or close to that to certain countries no matter how good or bad their song is. For example Greece-Cyprus. I have no idea why we give the cypriots most points most of the time, I seriously HATE that part.
The thing that puts me off for the last few years is that most of the songs are now in english. WTF is that? It ruins the whole reason of having this contest. I do not care if their english is good or not :-) , what I care for is to hear them sing in their NATIVE language, I don't care if I understand them or not. Plus since the all enlglish thing, the music is so similar to most of the songs each time that it is just stupid. Off. |

Being portuguese, I did hear that song a couple times on the radio, and your description suited it pretty well. I sometimes wonder why I even have a radio, since nowadays the only thing broadcasted is pop/hip hop/comercial rock. And my shrink still wonders why I hate half of the world. |

What's The Eurovision Song Contest? There is not even an italian... i never heard about it...
Is the first year they do that? Or simply here, in Italy, the TV don't care about it? |
