Default Finding a space game!

I am searching for a game where I totally forgot the name of, hope anyone can help me with that.

Things I can remember:

Think is was about 1998 I played this game, a big universe with jumpgates and you could haul materials to make money. I remember you had to appraoch spacestations correct to dock by going through the lights.

I think best described is was a simple version of EVE-Online for solo play

One of the X games? X Beyond The Frontier or X:Tension, perhaps?

Oh thank you very much for this. Was indeed the first X, see they added expensions over the year and last one only few month back.

After browsing through all the old game (loads of good memories there), I was wondering if anyone good help me on another title.

For this one I have even less info, at first I thought it was Xenon2 since I remember the music of it (amiga version). But the main thing I remember about this game was that in the song every once in the while "blood money" was said (I was young adn english is not my main language but I can recall I heard it like that), Really thought it was xenon2 but that game scrolls upwards while I remember the game scrolling sideways, although the game was in the same setting as xenon.

Sorry that I can't help you with that other game but if you want an opinion on those X games:

I only played the first two, and although there is no story told in X:Tension, I really must recommend that one over X:BTF. Reason is, X:BTF is a pain the way the game crawls for the first hour of game play, whereas X:T gives your ship a few upgrades for free right away to speed it up quite a bit. Another reason is that in X:T you can fly loads of different ships, not only one. They all have different characteristics, some are slow and sluggish while a couple of them are so fast and agile you will probably laugh the first times you cross a sector in less than 2 seconds real time. Just make sure you're well clear of the traffic lanes

not 100% sure, but maybe it's Tubular Worlds?
