Do you think it would be easy to make a quickstart menu option to run dosbox IPX - enter ip number - and launch this game in multiplayer mode..?
Any command you can execute in DOSBox command line can be put into a batch file.
Where does the user enter the IP adress?

Also, is the game's multiplayer mode started using a command line switch, a separate executable or an option inside the main game menu?

So it's really easy to get playing online with hamachi?
It's possible, just edited my menu (added the multiplayer option) and connected two PC's/started Blood.
Here's what I did:
1. added these two entries to my menu.bat

:startserver
cls
ipx=true
ipxnet startserver
setup.exe
goto start

:connect
cls
ipx=true
echo Enter the IP address to connect to:
copy con ip.txt
copy /b ipxnet.txt+ip.txt ip.bat
call ip.bat
pause
setup.exe
goto start

2. added two .txt files in Blood directory, one more .bat file
-ip.txt only stores the ip address
-ipxnet.txt reads "ipxnet connect "
-ip.bat then executes "ipxnet connect <ip address>"

Maybe there are better (easier) ways to do this, this is only what I came up with. Like I said, I tested it, and only had to type the IP address and go through the setup.exe menus. Don't know if this works with Hamachi (never used). Also, when asked to type the IP address you can't see what you are typing (maybe there's some simple solution to this too).

Menu.bat

The problem is there are no sounds, music runs fine just no sounds . I ran the setup.exe and I tried every option but I get some error after all of them. Much help would be obliged. Thanks in advanced.

open up dosbox and look under [sblaster]

there are settings like
sbtype=sb16
sbbase=220
irq=7
...

now inside the setup set exactly the settings that are in the dosbox conf. and remember, sb16 is normal soundblaster then pick soundblaster 16 inside soundblaster configuration
