I recently downloaded this game and tried to play using dosbox, but whenever I mount the game and try to play it says in dos:

Protected mode driver is not responding to EMS function calls. Make sure your EMS driver is not configured withthe NOEMS option. If it is replace the option "NOEMS" with "RAM".

How do I access the EMS driver?

open dosbox.conf
change ems=true to ems=false
save dosbox.conf
start dosbox.
play the game.

Short and simple

Using Dosbox-0.63 which has worked for all other games so far.

I edit the file that says

dosbox
CONF file
size is 5.14KB

open it up with notepad, did what you said, still no change, and there's nowhere where it says NOEMS or RAM.

you restarted dosbox after editing the file ?
the file should be in
c:\program files\dosbox-0.63\

try typing mem in dosbox and see if it reports expanded memory

Yup, restarted dosbox, it is in correct directory, and when I type mem, it only shows conventional and extended memory, no expanded mem.
