You can also get it from the elder Scrolls official site. It has been made free for everyone.

Ever heard of MsDos?
Apparently you don't know that a lot of ol'games lovers still have MsDos compies around, and then yes, you need the CD.

A CD image is a file with all the information from the original disk. With the appropriate software it can be burned into a CD, or "mounted" as a "virtual" CD drive that you can use as if you had the real CD inserted in an additional CD drive.

Isn't the need for the CD the same in DOSBox and DOS?

I think so... I have a folder called "DFCD" which works as a CD (I mount it to D in DOSbox...)
I just thought that a disk image might contain something not included in the free version of Daggerfall (if there is any difference between the free version and the original disk version). Like Arena; the original disk version of Arena had voice-overs for the cutscenes, while the freeware doesn't...
Sorry for the mix-up; as I said, I'm new to all this stuff... give me time, I'll get it eventually!
