More than 2 years later and this site is still unsearchable without logging in.
If you try to search without logging in that it states you got the image wrong. But there's no image... Can you please fix it once and for all? Last edited by lwc; 15-02-2020 at 10:13 PM. Reason: Deleted extra linebreak |

Are you sure it's Abandonia, and not one of your providers/firewalls/antiviruses? Or even right place to search? Because, well, I don't logined most of time, and only section where it matters is quiz (but it simply says "you must be logged in"). I totally can search and even download.
What do you do to get captcha?

That's what I have for my search. I am not logined, and search works. I have no idea what can go wrong here...

Yep, works fine for me as well. I tested both Firefox and Chrome without logging in, no captcha.

One problem I noted: it is pop-up ad window at the main Abandonia site (*sigh* Again?!) that I never noticed as it killed by adblock. Can it be the reason?

Guys, we are talking about the forum search, see screenshot (which shows the "Image Verification" area is empty).

I wouldn't be surprised if they'd have to upgrade the forum software altogether to "fix" that.
And seeing how Abovo is so unresponsive (or whomever else manages) to ridding the website of malicious code, I wouldn't imagine the forum getting fixed any time soon. |

Well, looking into code, site tries to get captcha from http://api.recaptcha.net. That is dead. Sorry.

I've switched it to the older Image Verification. Not the optimal solution, but one we can do without changes to the forum code (that I wouldn't have access to do anyway)
