Since I got my pc taken away from me (read shoutbox message) I now secretly use my mac to surf internet (Sadly no FFXI ). Any way does anyone know any C++ compilers for the mac? I heard once that apple had free ones but those were for os X. I am using OS 9.1 btw...

I know that Metroworks CodeWarrior has c/c++ compilers for mac os 9
though I think you have to buy it or something, I bought mine cheap at student price from my school.

gcc/g++ I think it runs on everything.
(mac os is related to freebsd and it runs on there that much I'm sure of )

I dunno if this is useful to you, but it seems to be about Macintosh Programmer's Workshop that provides C,C++, and Assembly support for programming on the Mac OS 7,8,9 platforms. They provide a link to their FTP with a bunch of files.
