The animated gif consists of 6 frames. Each frame was made individually with Photoshop 7. Then the frames were imported into Fireworks MX 2004 (best program for making animated gifs imho). I did some tweaking to the speed of the frames so that the frames were readable, and then ran the export wizard (sometimes just doing a regular export with an animated gif screws up and only exports the first frame). I've been doing this stuff since 6th grade, started doing sites with notepad and MSPaint. Once I got to high school I reeled in some major dough and got Photoshop 6, Paint Shop Pro 7, and Macromedia Dreamweaver 4. It's been lots of money and upgrading since then. Right now I'm working on getting enough money to buy the new InVision board script, $199.

I'm lucky as my employer is buying me all the tools I need.

I also started with notepad and pain(t). I liked macromedia products, but as most of web development I am doing is PHP, I am using not so known DzSoft PHP Editor. (Would recommend to all PHP developers, as this tool cost only $35)

k: Great work. Hopefully your tools pay back, if you are doing web development.
