Cause I have too much to worry about in life without having to worry about how to Dungeons and Dragons. Like me Chemistry test I have in 40 hours and my maths test next week and also my engineering studies test next week, and my HSC in 5 or 6 months.

just that, its a game session between 2-however many people you want, that use paper to create constants like characters and maps and the like, and dice to calculate different formulas to simulated experience. examples are rolls to see if you make a successful attack, and then roll again to see how much damage. you build up characters much the same as you would in a computer rpg.
the session is controlled by a "dungeon master" he takes care of random encounters and the like.

You forgot the most important thing - roleplaying, it's not all in the numbers, you have to rely on your brain...

I've been playing now for about 13 years or so.

What we always did though if we ever came across a rule that we didn't like was we changed it!

Thats the thing about D&D books and rules...

They are GUIDES only.
