I'd play, but my brother won't give me back my copy.
I will have to murder him for it.

Doh, forgot to reply in here - I'll be up for a game in an hour or so once I've had my dinner if anyone fancies it - the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned.

How does it play mulitplayer? The "Play the World" option for Civ 3 was laggy no matter what computer or connection I was on. Either way I'm still hesitant to pick up a copy of Civ 4.
I'm a big fan of the series though, do you guys think its worth getting? I've heard mixed reviews. |

I love it, even though it runs veerry slowly on my computer. Even though I haven't tried the multiplayer, I'd still say get it, as fast as you can.

I had one game of MP with no problems, although the gamespy interface is pretty basic. The mixed reviews are just from the (albeit large) minority of people who are experiencing bugs with it - if you're worried about it (and if you have an older ATi chipset, although those issues have been resolved temporarily) just wait for the patch which should be due in a week or so.

Right, I have formed (well, stolen) an idea. 'm up for playing a succession game (possibly with a PBM game going on too) with 2 or 3 participants if someone's interested - we could put some nice screenshots and so on up here too.
A succession game involves playing a singleplayer game against the AI with certain settings (and possibly some self-imposed variants), but with the players playing a number of turns before passing on the save to the next participant - normal practice is to play 30 turns initially, then 20 for the next player and then rounds of 10 turns at a time after that. There's a number of succession games here - check out the Realms Beyond (RB) ones, particularly Cuban Isolationists 2, for some interesting reads. |

Aftershock? Bah! I played the demo, and they seemed to have made it worse than Aftermath somehow, or at least no better - maybe I was just being less forgiving.

I've got it yesterday
But I'm still on the tutorial, I don't know when I'll have time to master it...

Bumped for Jones' benefit. Anyone else who wants to get in on a succession game, let us know!
