Thumbs down

What do you all think of artificial intelligence? Is better AIs going to come in the future or are the ones existing enough to capture the Tech of the future of the world.

It might not stop, but it might take a huge step back.

Famouse Albert Einstein's quote:

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

That's possible. Look at the history of Fallout. Nuclear war, total destruction and so on. And the survivors used spears and stones. Is Fallout a prophecy?

you are .

I believe that whatever AI we have today doesn't realy deserve the I. before an AI will take over the world it will need to learn creative thinking, and possibly to want stuff too, or it will just be AIs masters that are takeink over. I think that it's possible to achive those things but at least for a decade they will be out of reach.

Many humans don't deserve that 'I' either.

AI will improve over the time to the point that we will create 'something' (most likely not processor in the terms of today's technology) that will be capable of thinking and learning.

The big problem of creating artificially intelligent machines is that we do not know how natural intelligence works. Until we solve the problem of how natural intelligence arises from the blank slate of an insect egg (insects are not very intelligent, but they are more capable than anything we can build), we will not progress to AI.

Did you hear that the japanese built a fully sentient computer?
They asked it to optimise agricultural production in the Home Islands, but got the response "I don't eat rice.".

Be very careful what you ask for, as you just might get it.
